I would like to invite all those among you who will be in Bangkok next week to come to join us at the 40th GIA Gemstone Gathering.
This month, on Wednesday 24th, as each last wednesday of the month, the GIA Laboratory Bangkok (The lab) and the GIA Thailand (The school) will organize this event at the Pan Pacific hotel on Rama IV.
Our guest will be geologist/gemologist Flavie Isatelle: After studying geology in Nancy, France, Flavie came to Bangkok to study gemology, then she took a year to travel around the world visiting gem mining areas. After visiting gem mines in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Madagascar, Brazil she spent a month visiting emerald mines in Colombia.
She will give a presentation about “Green Fever - A Colombian Adventure". For more details please visit:
As usual the event will start at 6pm with a complementary cocktail, followed around 7pm with Flavie Isatelle presentation. Besides the presentation, It will be again a great occasion to meet people.
