For those of you planning to go to Jewelry Camp next week, or anybody else in the eastern part of the country, you have an opportunity to enroll for the American Society of Appraisers advanced class on Appraisal Theory, Methods & Application July 13-15 at Iona College, New Rochelle, NY.
I consider this course to be the most concentrated way to absorb the fundamentals of sound appraisal theory and practice available in the gems and jewelry field available anywhere. If you only have three days to spare to begin to learn gems and jewelry appraising, this is for you.
Some of the topics covered include the latest changes to USPAP and the most recent ASA standards for appraisal reports, as well as basic concepts. A comprehensive workbook, developed over many years, is included in the tuition price.
ASA instructors for the course are Mona Miller, (503) 274-7022, and Gary Smith, (570) 368-4436. http://www.asa-gj.org
